I’ve had the idea for this piece for along time, but it wasn’t until the WebGL support came along that I felt it could be experienced correctly through a browser. The concept was to explode an image and convert each pixel to a living particle. These particles could then fly around creating completly different pattern, just to, in the end, return to build up the original image again.
Left click to change between different patterns, and right click anytime to repel particles from the mouse position.
You’ll need a browser that supports WebGL (preferably Chrome) to be able to view this project.
