It’s time for another little personal project of mine, and this time it’s a response to the awesome 3D short film “Consumed” Andreas made some weeks ago.
The story revolves around a “Food Replicator”, or a so called molecular assembler, a device that can rearrange subatomic particles and guide chemical reactions with atomic precision. In an attempt to prevent mass starvation, this device is used to synthesize nutritions with the ability to self-replicate. But during the initial tests something goes wrong and out-of-control self-replicating compounds starts to spread, consuming all matter while building more copies of them selves.
In this experiment you’ll be able to choose the position of the lab facility where the test goes wrong, and can then follow how the self-replicated mass grows and spreads over the earth.
As always I recommend you to use Chrome, to make the experience as smooth as possible.
